My passion for art and photography began at a young age. I sketched things I saw that were interesting in design. One early image that caught my eye was the logo on the dashboard of a 1955 T-Bird. I drew my own version of the Thunderbird design and gave it to the car's owner. He was a commercial artist and was pleased by my excitement about art. He was kind enough to give me several books related to graphic art & photography.
At Fresno State, my emphasis was in photography, printmaking, and graphic design. I received a BA degree in Art in 1969. My first job out of college was as a commercial artist at Diamond International. Layoffs in the commercial art field forced me to find other employment. I worked in sales for several years. Still, always shooting, designing and sometimes operating my own darkroom I was finally able to transition to full-time photography.
For the last 23 years, I have owned and operated Di Grazia Photography. As a generalist, I shot all types of jobs, including wedding, sports, event, commercial and fine art assignments. In recent years I have concentrated mostly on fine art photography mixed with digital design techniques.
Since 2002, my work has been shown locally in several galleries and venues. Currently, my work is being sold exclusively at Chico Paper Co. in Chico, California and can be viewed at the link above. Thanks for visiting.
